A Former Monk, Gardener, Seeking Stillness in the American West
I left the order three years ago. The habit of silence has not left me. I would like a porch, a garden, and a wide horizon.
I am fifty-four. I rose at 4:30am for twenty-six years and I still do. I am a passable gardener, an honest woodworker, and a fair mender of anything mechanical. I drink coffee but no alcohol. I speak when spoken to and otherwise prefer the company of birds. I would be honoured to look after a property in the American West — desert, plains, or high country, no matter. I require very little.
Terms of the arrangement
I do not require payment. A roof, a stove, and permission to plant a garden are enough.
