A Farmhouse Annex in the Black Mountains
A stone annex behind a working Welsh farmhouse. Hot water, a small library, and the company of sheep at a respectful distance.
The annex is two rooms and a kitchen, with its own door onto a walled garden. The farmer keeps Welsh mountain sheep and an old border collie. He asks for help moving the sheep between fields twice a season, and otherwise leaves the hermit entirely to themselves. Internet exists but is honestly bad. The light in October is exceptional.
Terms of the arrangement
Free lodging in exchange for ~4 hours/week of farm assistance. The hermit may use the library freely. No smoking near the hay.
